Sisters from the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Rosary of Fatima with Headquarters in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico are currently serving the Parish of Our Lady of Angels in Hermiston, Oregon.
Our parish has had the presence of these Religious Sisters, Missionaries of the Rosary of Fatima, since 2019. We received the recommendation from Bishop Liam Cary who was familiar with the Congregation since they had been in Medford, OR when he was pastor.
Sister Maria de la Luz Cabrera and Sister Maria S. Peña help with Family Time Catechesis for families and students in religious education, they also work in pastoral familiar ministry, and with Hispanic ministry. They have a Spanish Bible group that meets once a week. They have started and continue to coordinate the Zaqueo Evangelization Groups in Spanish along with retreats.
In the month of October they lead the praying in Spanish of the rosary for life asking God for the end of abortion. On some occasions, they also take communion to the sick, and they help cover hours of Eucharistic Adoration. They are beginning to help with marriage preparation, and have meet with individuals who are looking for guidance and spiritual help.
They are present at parish events and help where needed. They are present at the Masses in English and Spanish. It is a blessing to have their presence in our parish and to encourage vocations to Religious Life.

O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Hermanas de la Congregación de las Misioneras del Rosario de Fátima con Sede en
Cuautitlán Izcalli, Estado de México, actualmente están sirviendo en la Parroquia de
Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles en Hermiston, Oregon.
Nuestra parroquia cuenta con la presencia de estas Hermanas Religiosas, Misioneras del Rosario de Fátima, desde el año 2019. Recibimos la recomendación del Obispo Liam Cary, quien conocía la Congregación ya que habían estado en Medford, OR cuando él era párroco.
La Hermana María de la Luz Cabrera y la Hermana María S. Peña ayudan con la
Catequesis de Tiempo Familiar para familias y estudiantes de educación religiosa,
también trabajan en el ministerio familiar pastoral y con el ministerio hispano. Tienen un grupo bíblico en español que se reúne una vez a la semana. Han iniciado y continúan coordinando los Grupos de Evangelización Zaqueo en Español
junto con retiros.
En el mes de Octubre dirigen el rezo en Español del Rosario por la Vida para pedirle a
Dios por el fin del aborto. En algunas ocasiones también llevan la comunión a los
enfermos, ayudan a cubrir las horas de Adoración al Santísimo, están empezando a
ayudar con la preparación matrimonial, y se han reunido con personas que buscan
orientación y ayuda espiritual.
Están presentes en los eventos parroquiales y ayudan donde se necesita. Están presentes en las Misas en Inglés y Español. Es una bendición tener su presencia en nuestra parroquia. Para fomentar también la vocación a la Vida Religiosa.
