This video provides a
wonderful insight into the full Camp experience. It shows
the healthy balance of learning, prayer, and fun that makes
up a Diocese of Baker Camp. Please encourage more youth to
attend this summer’s Camps. With its resources of a
beautiful Camp facility in a wonderful setting,
theologically formed, trained and schooled people, plus
properly screened volunteers, the Diocese is able to
provide an experience that is difficult to match anywhere
else. Forward this video to everyone you know and help them
to attend an ecclesiastically approved Catholic Camp this
summer.
All ages welcome....
Family Camp 1
"A Person's a Person, No Matter How Small"
Friday, July 1 to Monday, July
4
Planned for families by families, these camps are a
Christ centered opportunity to grow together in the
Catholic faith. There are times to pray and play
as a family. There are times to share in
activities and prayer with those of similar age and
gender. But most of all it is a time to get away
from a frantic world that does too much to separate
families. Come away to a sacred place to be
united with the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
Family
Camp was the second successful Camp offered by the
Diocese of Baker this Summer. We
invite you to join us in the fun
with this video, but also in a prayer of
thanksgiving to our God who has blessed us so
abundantly.
Militia
of the Immaculata Teen Retreat at Powell Butte July 5 - 10, 2011
A retreat for those from strong Catholic families
that want to really commit themselves more deeply
to their relationship with Jesus and his mother.
This retreat is highly recommended by the Diocese
of Baker.
This is a
camp where we train youth to be strong Catholic
Christian Leaders in their lives, their families,
and their parishes. They are taught how to
lead ice breakers, small group sharing, meal
prayers, make up skits and cheers, teach and pass
on the faith, plus have a really good time.
These youth then immediately put their new skills
to use by committing themselves to help at the
following Middle School Camp or the Upper
Elementary Camp later in the summer.
Leadership Camp is a requirement for all youth
wishing to serve on the Diocese of Baker Youth
Council.
There is a Fire burning in the hearts of those in Middle
School that is fanned into flame at this camp. At the 2011
Middle School Camp we had 45 youth
and 25 staff.
It was a very successful camp
this year! The Camp facility truly provides a
beautiful and holy place for the participants - we
are always humbled by the graces that it brings
with each Camp.
WOW!!!
Impossible to describe the dynamic experience this
weekend provides. The success of this event is
witnessed by the fact that once a person goes, they
keep coming back over and over again. Many spend
the day before this conference at Silverwood Theme Park
near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. You get into the
fantastic water park and theme park at a group rate
that includes all the food and beverages you need for
the day. Both the rollercoaster Aftershock and
then Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament take your
breath away. Although, while the rollercoaster
ends,...that
face time with Jesus leaves an imprint that never
fades. This event is highly recommended by the
Diocese of Baker. Go to

for more information.
For those
youth who were so upset that for some reason they were
not able to go to High School Camp or Middle School
Camp, here was another chance for teenagers!!!
This camp even included those teenagers in college.
Plus, anyone was invited to come even if they had already attended a
camp this summer.
Teen Camp was a great
experience with lots of great people making it a big
success! The rafting was AWESOME!!!
What great fun. Smiles and our wonderful faith break
through all language barriers! Take a peek at our first ever Family Camp in Spanish.

T.Y.G. (Thank You
God) Camp
"A Person's a Person, No Matter How Small"
Monday,
August 1 - Thursday, August 4
Through
the eyes of these children we come to see the many
things that we have to be thankful for. For
example: for many of the youth this is their
first experience being away from home overnight on
their own. It is amazing how much more they
come to appreciate their parents and even their
siblings through this separation. That is
until they start having a lot of fun. When
the parents come to pick them up it takes the youth
forever to say goodbye to their new friends.
To see again how really amazing and gifted our
children are when they return home is another
reason to say; "Thank you God!"
Thank you all for all your prayers. This was the
most successful Upper Elementary Camp ever.
Greatest bunch of kids. Youth Council really
upped the game. Plus, the staff were really
gifted. Please check out the great video created
by Patrick Sharkey that really did an awesome job of
capturing the Spirit of the Camp.
2011 Day of the Son was GREAT
because of all the people who shared their advice,
Noel
and the Youth Council, and our Chaperones and many
volunteers.
Enjoy the video. The many smiles say it
all.
THANK YOU. God Bless.

"Top Ten Reasons To Live"
What's
the point of a gift if it's never opened? The
Gifts of the Holy Spirit are meant to be celebrated
and utilized. The Fruits of the Holy Spirit
are meant to be savored and shared.
Especially that Fruit which is "Joy". This
was all done in a weekend geared to those in Middle
School.
